Peet Grobler serves as chairperson of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) regional section in South Africa and is also an authorised EHEDG trainer.
Over the past 38 years, he has gained expert knowledge in various aspects of hygiene, food safety and hygienic design within the food and beverage industry across various sectors. His experience spans sectors including agriculture, fish and poultry, processed food, alcoholic- and non-alcoholic beverages, and dairy. He actively contributes to working groups responsible for reviewing and rewriting national standards.
He is qualified in the design and audit of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety management systems, and has led several due diligence projects, including the implementation of food safety management systems for local and international customers.
Grobler is privileged to present on the topic of hygiene, food safety and hygienic design at various events arranged by industry associations, universities and customers. As subject matter expert he presented at international conferences including the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) Africa section at Sun City and the All-Indian Brewing event in India.
